Terms of service
The short version: use the labs to learn, don't abuse the platform, and we'll keep it running. Last updated May 2024.
Accounts
You need an account to sync lab progress and access paid features. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
Lab environments are provided for hands-on Linux training. Don't use them to attack systems you don't own or have permission to test, to mine cryptocurrency, or to host unrelated services. We may suspend accounts that abuse shared infrastructure.
Lab progress and data
Your lab progress is stored locally in your browser and, when you're signed in, in your Signal9 account. We don't sell your data. See our privacy policy for details on what we collect and why.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically for the billing cycle you choose until you cancel. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page; your progress, badges and certificates remain yours regardless of plan changes.
Availability
We aim for reliable uptime but lab environments and the platform are provided "as is," without warranty of uninterrupted availability. We'll do our best to communicate planned maintenance in advance.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Meaningful changes will be communicated in-app or by email before they take effect.
