What we collect
When you use Signal9 we collect the account details you give us (name, email), your lab and challenge progress, and basic usage analytics (pages visited, features used, errors encountered) so we can fix bugs and improve the product.
Where your lab progress lives
Lab progress, XP, streaks and preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) for speed and offline use, and synced to your Signal9 account when you're signed in and online. If you clear your browser storage before syncing, unsynced local progress may be lost — signing in early avoids that.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small amount of local storage and lightweight analytics to remember your preferences (like sidebar and density settings) and to understand which features are actually useful. We don't use cross-site advertising trackers.
We do not sell your data
Signal9 does not sell, rent or trade your personal data or lab activity to third parties. Data is used only to run, secure and improve the product.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure and analytics providers to host the app, run lab environments and process payments. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality obligations. The current list is published on our subprocessors page, alongside our security practices.
Your choices
You can export or delete your account data at any time from account settings, or by emailing us. Clearing your browser's site data removes locally stored progress on that device but not progress already synced to your account.
