Storage Analysis: Free Space in a VG
MediumStorage & LVM10-15 minThe brief
A logical volume needs to grow, and it can only draw from its own volume group. The output of vgs is at /root/storage/vgs.txt, and `/root/storage/task.txt` names the volume group — the groups and their sizes differ per session.
Record how much free space that volume group has, in whole GB (just the number), to /root/answers/vg_free.txt. VSize is the group's total size; VFree is what's left to allocate.
What you'll do
- Record the free space (GB) of the VG named in task.txt to /root/answers/vg_free.txt
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
