Storage Analysis: RAID Level

MediumStorage & LVM10-15 min
The brief

One of this host's software RAID arrays is degraded. Before replacing a disk you need that array's RAID level (raid0/raid1/raid5/raid6/raid10) so you plan the rebuild correctly. The output of mdadm --detail for every array is at /root/storage/mdadm.txt — the arrays and which one is degraded differ per session.

Find the array whose State includes degraded and record its RAID level (e.g. raid5) to /root/answers/raid_level.txt.

What you'll do
  • Record the RAID level of the degraded array to /root/answers/raid_level.txt

Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
