Storage Analysis: Filesystem Type

MediumStorage & LVM10-15 min
The brief

Before you can fsck a partition you must know its filesystem type — fsck dispatches to fsck.ext4, fsck.xfs, and so on. The output of blkid for this host's partitions is at /root/storage/blkid.txt, and `/root/storage/task.txt` names the partition to check — it differs per session.

Record that partition's filesystem TYPE to /root/answers/fstype.txt. Careful: SEC_TYPE and PARTUUID are different fields.

What you'll do
  • Record the filesystem TYPE of the partition named in task.txt to /root/answers/fstype.txt

Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
