Storage Analysis: Partition Table Type
MediumStorage & LVM10-15 minThe brief
Three new disks were attached. Before partitioning one you need its partition-table scheme: GPT (modern, >2 TB, many partitions) or MBR (legacy, which parted calls msdos). The output of parted <disk> print for all three is saved at /root/storage/parted.txt, and `/root/storage/task.txt` names the disk you're preparing — it differs per session.
Record that disk's partition-table type to /root/answers/pt_type.txt (gpt, or msdos/mbr).
What you'll do
- Record the partition-table type of the disk named in task.txt to /root/answers/pt_type.txt
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
