Regex: The Dot Metacharacter
EasyRegular Expressions3-5 minThe brief
Extract lines from /root/work/words.txt into /root/work/out.txt that contain a 'c', then any single character, then a 't' — cat, cot and cut all count.
Exactly one character sits between them: 'ct' (nothing between) and 'coat' (two) do not count.
What you'll do
- out.txt holds exactly the lines with 'c', one character, then 't'
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
