Containers: Run a Site on a Published Port
MediumRHCSA Prep10-15 minThe brief
A small static site needs to go out today, and the team wants it in a container rather than on the host. The brief in /root/case/brief.txt names the container, the host port and the site directory. Run it with podman so the page answers on the host port, with the site mounted read-only so the container can't change it. Lab machines have no internet access, so the image is already in podman's local store, as if you had pulled it.
What you'll do
- Run a detached container with a name
- Publish a container port on a host port
- Bind-mount a host directory read-only
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
