Tune a Service File in nano: Fix a Value and Add a Directive
MediumText Editors15 minThe brief
A service env file needs two changes before it's production-ready, and nano is the fast way to make them. The file is /root/service.env. First, it still logs at DEBUG — change the line 'LOGLEVEL=DEBUG' to 'LOGLEVEL=INFO'. Second, it's missing a connection cap; add a brand-new line 'MAXCONN=100' at the end of the file. Open it in nano, make both edits, and save. Grading checks the resulting file — practice moving to the end of the buffer, typing a new line, and writing out.
What you'll do
- Change LOGLEVEL=DEBUG to LOGLEVEL=INFO
- Append a new line: MAXCONN=100
- Save (Ctrl+O, Enter) and exit (Ctrl+X)
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
