Dojo: Join Two Files on a Key
MediumOne-Liner Dojo10 minThe brief
Two tables keyed on employee id, both sorted by that id: /root/users.txt has id name, /root/depts.txt has id dept. In ONE line, join them on the id and write the combined id name dept rows to /root/answer.txt.
This is a relational join — the right tool is literally named join. Both inputs are already sorted on the key, which is exactly what it needs.
What you'll do
- Write the id-joined rows of users.txt and depts.txt to /root/answer.txt, in one line
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
