Dojo: Distinct Values in a CSV Column
MediumOne-Liner Dojo10 minThe brief
The file /root/data.csv is comma-separated with no header. In ONE line, pull out the THIRD column, keep only the distinct values, sort them, and write the result to /root/answer.txt (one value per line).
Pick the field by delimiter — don't reach for awk when you only need a column and a dedupe. And remember: sorting and deduping is a single tool, not two.
What you'll do
- Write the sorted, distinct values of the 3rd CSV column to /root/answer.txt, in one line
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
