Docker Volumes: Name the Persistent Store

MediumDevOps10-15 min
The brief

A database container loses its data on restart, and you need to confirm which persistent named volume backs it. /root/project/task.txt names the database service (it differs per session). Examine /root/project/docker-compose.yml — it runs two postgres services — and record the NAMED volume mounted into THAT service's data directory (/var/lib/postgresql/data) to /root/answers/volume.txt.

What you'll do
  • Record the named volume behind the task's database to /root/answers/volume.txt

Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
