Resource Limits: Read the Memory Cap
MediumDevOps10-15 minThe brief
An app keeps getting OOM-killed and someone set a memory cap in its systemd unit. Examine the unit at /root/project/app.service (values differ per session) and record the HARD memory limit it enforces — the value the kernel OOM-kills at, not the soft throttle — exactly as written (e.g. 2G) to /root/answers/mem_limit.txt.
What you'll do
- Record the unit's hard memory limit to /root/answers/mem_limit.txt
Hands-on lab: you work on a real Linux box in your browser, graded on the machine's actual state.
