Brace Expansion: Make Many at Once

Brace expansion generates strings before the command runs — perfect for creating a batch of directories in one shot. Under /root/project create exactly three directories named jan, feb, and mar using a single brace-expansion mkdir — one command, three directories.

Grading checks that exactly these three directories exist directly under /root/project — a stray extra directory there (for example from a mistyped brace list) fails the check.
